One of Baku’s most treasured gems, the National Seaside Park, which reflects both the historical and modern image of our tangible cultural heritage, has been named the winner of the prestigious “International Large Urban Parks Award” — one of the highest honors in the field of urban park management.

   This global award is established by the World Urban Parks Organization, a leading international non-governmental organization in the areas of park management, sustainable urban development, greening of cities, and nature conservation. The winners are determined based on criteria such as the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of park management, as well as the social, economic, and ecological significance of the park.

   Thanks to its uniqueness, ecological and social value, and high standards of preservation and maintenance, National Seaside Park received the highest scores and was awarded the top honor.

   The award was officially presented to the delegation of the Seaside Boulevard Administration during the “Future Green City Congress”, held from September 23–26 in Utrecht, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
