The dimensions of the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan, hoisted in the State Flag Square, have been redefined and confirmed as a new record. Based on the results of measurements carried by a Guinness World Records adjudicator and international experts, the Azerbaijani Flag in the Square has been registered in the Guinness World Records with a width of 40 meters and a length of 80 meters.

In November 2024, these figures were previously confirmed as 36 meters and 72 meters, respectively.

It should be noted that the flagpole’s height is 201.191 meters, its diameter at the pedestal is 5.7 meters, and its weight is approximately 1,500 tons.
