Sophora japonica (lat. Sophora japonica) — a species of tree in the subfamily Faboideae of the pea family Fabaceae. Sophora japonica is native to China and Japan. It grows into a lofty tree 25 m tall in the shape of a ball umbrella with shedding of leaves. It can be found in greater numbers in the territory of the Old Boulevard.
