Date palm (lat. Phoenix dactylifera) – naturally spread across Northern Africa, the Arabian peninsula, Southern Iran, Afghanistan and subtropical regions of Pakistan. Date trees typically reach about 20–30 metres in height. It is planted in greater numbers in the parks and gardens of Baku, Ganja, Sungayit, Shamkir and Gabala cities. It can be found in the territory of the Old Boulevard.
