Stone pine (lat. Pinus Pinea) – native to the Mediterranean region, the Balkans, Asia, Southern America, China and Chile. The stone pine is a coniferous evergreen tree with a wide egg-shaped umbrella canopy of 30 metres in height; the trunk diameter is 100sq m. In Azerbaijan, it can be found on the Absheron peninsula, Zakatala and Kur-Araz lowlands, in Lankaran and Shamkir districts, as well as in in the territory of the Old Boulevard and Bayil Boulevard
