The nomination of the Seaside National Park for the "Green Flag Award" was carried out within a multi-stage international evaluation process. A comprehensive application and a dossier of documents concerning the park's maintenance and management system, environmental policy, service structure, greening, and cleanliness standards were evaluated. The data was assessed by the award's panel of international expert judges, and at the final stage, with the participation of these judges, a detailed on-site monitoring and evaluation was conducted across approximately 30 criteria within the National Park itself.

During the evaluation process of the Seaside National Park as a unique historical, natural-ecological, and cultural complex, its aesthetic importance, its reflection of Baku's history and modern development while creating a unique urban environment, its public significance, as well as the unique management model implemented by the state for its preservation and administration were particularly noted.

It should be noted that last year, the Seaside National Park was also awarded the "International Large Urban Parks Award" in the Netherlands for its uniqueness, ecological and social significance, as well as its achievements in the field of conservation and protection
