The display of the National Reference Time – UTC (AZ) ensures the showing of internationally approved accurate time in the country, allowing citizens to adjust their clocks accordingly.

Another important step has been taken by the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI), under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, regarding the implementation of the national time reference in the country.

The National Reference Time of Azerbaijan – UTC (AZ) is now reflected in the "Clock Tower" located in the Seaside National Park. An informational stand has also been installed near the tower to raise public awareness.

It should be noted that the display of UTC (AZ) in the "Clock Tower" not only demonstrates internationally approved accurate time in the country but also enables citizens to synchronize their watches.

Note: The National Reference Time – UTC (AZ) was approved in November 2025 by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) and is of great importance for establishing a unified and reliable time infrastructure in the country.
