The European Olive (lat. Olea europaea) – aspecies of tree in the genus Olea; an evergreen, umbrella-shaped subtropical small tree. Its height reaches 12 metres. While olive trees may live to be as old as 1,500 years, their average lifespan is 500 years. Presently the European olive is grown up in many countries with tropical and subtropical climates, including Azerbaijan. It can be found in the territory of the Old Boulevard, New Boulevard, the White City and Bayil Boulevard.
